Tom is a 60-year resident of the Aldergrove /south Langley area.    He started his schooling at Otter Elementary, graduated from Aldergrove Secondary School and studied Education at University of British Columbia from 1972 to 1976.  He worked for 22 years in Finance and Administration for Environment Canada and Energy, Mines and Resources in Vancouver. A mid-life career change in 1996 brought him to Financial Planning and he completed his Certified Financial Planning Designation (CFP) in 1999. He served clients for 20 years at a local Credit Union, until his retirement in 2016.   

Now as an independent advisor Tom continues to strives to help clients define their financial planning needs and to develop plans and identifying products that will help them achieve their goals. He understands that saving money and achieving a rate of return, greater of inflation and taxation, is key to long term wealth accumulation success. Being cost conscientious he understands that managed money needs to add value or reduce risk in relation to market benchmarks.   From full financial planning to single specific planning needs, Tom applies the Financial Planning principles to his work.  He has developed informal networks with other Langley based professionals that provide legal and accounting services. Keenly interested in achieving success for his clients, he is service oriented and responsive to client’s requests.

Fly fishing, hiking, gardening and baseball are his favorite hobbies. Tom plays basketball several times a week - avidly but poorly.    He is married with two adult children and three Grandchildren.
